Who We Are

A program of Horizon Behavioral Health, Crisis Stabilization Services are provided on a residential unit and is designed to assist individuals who are undergoing a behavioral health or co-occurring behavioral health and substance abuse crisis. The goal of crisis stabilization is to provide a safe and structured recovery oriented environment where individuals receive the treatment they need to resolve their current crisis and learn coping skills to assist them when they return home. Services provided in crisis stabilization include psychiatric assessments, medication management, individual and group counseling, and case management. Individuals may stay in the crisis stabilization unit for up to fifteen consecutive days. Individuals can be referred for crisis stabilization services as part of a transition from an acute inpatient setting to the community. The Crisis Stabilization program accepts admissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will accept individuals who voluntarily want services and those who are on a temporary detention order (TDO).
