Navigators are federally funded assisters who are trained and certified to provide community education and outreach, as well as free, unbiased application assistance to consumers and small businesses. All navigators adhere to strict privacy and security standards. They have expertise on the new Health Insurance Marketplace (private insurance options and available financial assistance) and Virginia's public health insurance programs (Medicaid and FAMIS).
