Who We Are

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) Discharge Planning Services are provided for all children and adolescents under the age of 18 who are hospitalized in state or local psychiatric hospitals or facilities.

This service begins at the initial face-to-face assessment (pre-admission screening).  Specific plans are developed on a case-by-case basis to reflect the service needs of the consumer that will aid in making a successful transition back into the community and sustain or improve the previous level of adaptive functioning prior to the need for hospitalization.  Consumers or legal guardians of the youth may choose to receive behavioral health services from other providers upon discharge from hospitalization.
