Community Assistance, Medical

Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute, part of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services, provides medical care, psychiatric treatment, supportive services and counseling for individuals with mental illness, 18 years of age through 65 years of age.



For information about financial assistance regarding treatment provided by Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute, please contact your local Community Services Board (CSB) or visit their website.   If you feel that you cannot afford payment in full, the Reimbursement  Department will provide a financial form. Upon evaluation of income, assets and liabilities, a determination will be made concerning the expected payment. In some cases a sliding fee scale is used for this purpose.
