Who We Are

The Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District is responsible for the conservation work within its boundaries (Loudoun County). The mission of the District is to provide leadership in recognizing and addressing soil and water conservation issues and problems, both existing and potential, and to promote and develop education and technical programs that will meet the agricultural and urban conservation needs of our District.

A soil and water conservation district is a subdivision of state government responsible under state law for conservation work within its boundaries. Its purposes are to focus attention on land, water, and related resource problems; to develop programs for solving the problems, and to enlist and coordinate assistance from all public and private sources for carrying out program objectives. Rents a no-till grassland seeder for landowners' use in renovating pastures and hay fields.
